Magnesium Citrate SupplementIf you’re considering a magnesium citrate supplement, it’s likely that you are feeling a little blocked up or you are looking for treatments for migraines. This product is available over the counter but in a couple of different forms. While pills are very common, magnesium citrate liquid is also available. Additionally, if you prefer a different method of delivery, you may also consider magnesium citrate powder. While all forms have their pluses and minuses, there are some very notable differences between the powder and liquid versions of magnesium citrate supplement options.

Your first consideration will be price. Are you prepared to shell out a few extra bucks? If not, then you want to go with powder all the way. It’s cheaper to make, cheaper to package and cheaper to store, that means it will be cheaper for you. There are some negatives to this discount version of magnesium citrate supplement however, in the form of longer time needed for absorption. That powder needs to be digested to get anywhere, and if you are just taking it because you need a little extra mag, that may not be a big deal. If you haven’t pooped in 4 days, time may be of the essence, and you may need to consider a quicker delivery method.

If speed is what you need than the liquid form of magnesium citrate supplement is right for you. While you’re going to ingest and digest anything taken internally, some of what you take orally in liquid form will start entering the bloodstream much sooner meaning that faster absorption is possible. You’re going to pay a few extra bucks for the convenience however.

You will have to determine which method of magnesium delivery is right and best for you. There are pros and cons to both methods, and if you’re still unsure you can always opt for pill supplement. No version of supplement will keep you from having magnesium citrate side effects if you take way too much, but both the powder and liquid form make taking too much substantially easier than taking a certain number of pills at varied increments per dosing instructions. Your most important considerations will be cost and absorption speed and these will likely depend on what reasons you have chosen the supplement in the first place.
